There they had owned two cafes: first caf\u00e9 The Wizard, later caf\u00e9 De Haven. They were familiar faces in the village and their caf\u00e9 was a regular place for many people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During vacations, they often went to Tenerife. The island attracted them - especially the climate and the relaxed life there. At some point they thought: why do we keep doing this only during the vacations? We might as well try it for longer periods of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They decided to sell their caf\u00e9 in the Netherlands and take the plunge. Everything arranged, suitcases packed, and off to Tenerife. There they took over a caf\u00e9 on the boulevard, where mostly tourists and Dutch expats come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jans is usually behind the bar, Marjan does a lot of serving and likes to chat with the guests. The atmosphere is cozy, the work is familiar, only the location is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No regrets.
